8:00 a.m. Long Run – Toronto Marathon Course Routes

That’s right! We need to change the time this week to make sure that we see our Toronto marathoners and half marathoners at different times. Sorry to the athletes running Mississauga:( We’ll eagerly await to see your results on our Google machines.

We have two routes to choose from.

*I won’t be at the West End Y as I need I’ll nursing some shin splinting while riding my bike around the course so please please reply to this message to inform other Longboaters if you will be attending the long run and which version of the route you will do.*

Here’s the first route. The good places to see the race are Davenport and Walmer, Yonge and Alymer, Church and Wellington and the finish.

West on pathway at north end of Cityplace

Back to Y through CNE, north on Dufferin, east on Queen, North on Gladstone, east on College

Now, if you need to go longer, here is an out an back with some hills in which you can still watch the race. Great places where you can watch are Davenport and Walmer, the Beltline Yonge St bridge, the Mount Pleasant Rosedale Valley overpass and Jarvis and Wellington.

Turn around around and go back Bay St, but you can turn at any point, of course or continue to the finish line and loop back to the Y
