Scotiabank Sunday and Long Run

Hello all,

We have a huge list of runners hitting the roads for the Scotiabank races tomorrow. I am extremely excited to see you all battle to reach or surpass your goals.

After the race, I thought it would be great to hit a pub to celebrate our friends’ accomplishments. Richard suggested the Town Crier, which is a nice central suggestion. So, Let’s meet at about 1:30 p.m. If you feel that another time is more appropriate, feel free to suggest.

“But Steve,” you say, “I don’t live downtown and I’ll smell and need a shower!” That’s true. My condo’s gym is ready for service with two showers, a men’s and a women’s (230 King St. East), but I’m sure if you ask, you can find something closer. I know that people run out of the Settlement House on Sunday so that could also be an option.

Anyway, I’m giddy with anticipation.

Sunday Long Run?

I’d suggest the Beltline for our New York/Hamilton/Just Coming Out To Run friends meeting at the West End Y friends as it will be out of the way of the race, but of course if you want to do something that hits the race, say, along the waterfront, that will still be great for your race pace work.

The loop at the end is about 2.1 km so you can do as many as you need. This is a good place to do some pick-ups once you have reached halfway of your run (or however far your coach has suggested).

Here is the link to that loop.
